Peace Is Finally Reached!
Finally, both Israel and Hezbollah have agreed to the UN ceasefire. Although differences exist, I think that both sides are simply tired of the fighting, carnage, and impact on the infrastructure of both sides.
I think that both sides should have made stronger diplomatic efforts initially instead of battling in the first place. Now destruction on both sides reaches literally into the billions of dollars and leaves even more unresolved conflict and hard feelings that will be difficult to overcome.
But at least an agreement has been reached and accepted by both sides. Now it will be a struggle on the UN's part to keep the peace process moving forward and extend a calming hand in this deadly and terrible struggle. We hope that the UN is up to the task.
