What Does Al Qaeda Want?
I have found the pledge to join Al Qaeda that all new recruits must take and wanted to share it with you. I think that you will find it interesting to understand exactly what Al Qaeda wants to achieve.
Al Qaeda is not just a terrorist group, it is an extension of a group of Islamic believers who feel that their religion is the only true religion and that Islam must not only be spread worldwide, but must be adopted by all people worldwide. They believe that to achieve this end, all governments must be Muslim-based, practicing the holy Islamic code called the Sharia. They believe that infidels, non-Muslims, should be given a choice to convert or die. If the individual is a Christian or Jew, and does not accept conversion, they will pay a heavy tax and wear an insignia that shows they are not Muslim. Additionally, for those non-Muslims living in this new Al Qaeda society, they are considered a class below the Muslim believers and are treated as second class citizens. This is the future that Al Qaeda sees for the world. This is their new world order.
Al Qaeda is not a religious missionary group hoping to spread their faith by persuasion or humanitarian aid, this is a group who is trying to spread their faith using power, terror, agents of war, and coercion. If you do not accept their world view and embrace it, there is no middle of the road. The ultimate solution is death for those who are not believers in their path. This is Islamic Fundamentalism at its most radical and most extreme. This is the desire and thrust of Al Qaeda.

The pledge of God and his covenant is upon me, to listen and obey the superiors, who are doing this work, in energy, early-rising, difficulty, and easinesss, and for his superiority upon us, so that the word of God will be the highest, and His religion victorious.
