Even China is Not Immune From Islamic Extremist Terrorism
Chinese officials in the Xinjiang province have foiled a plot to blow up oil fields, power plants, and highways in the region.
The officials have confiscated 41 tons of explosive material in the region since 1990. Officials call the problem one of three forces of religious "extremism, separatism and terrorism" in the mainly Muslim region.
Islamic Extremists appear to be trying to wreak havoc in this area as the number of violations of rules governing explosives increased by 195 per cent last year.
