Justice For Terrorist Prisoners
Yes, prisoners held for being a terrorist deserve justice too. My question is why does America think that it has to be the police officer of the world? Why does the CIA need to be flying worldwide and snatching suspects on the fly and then sequestering them in secret prisons?
I think that this whole terrorist imprisonment and interrogation issue should not be solely an American one, but rather an international one. Do I think that suspects when tried using the new American parameters of justice will receive a "fair" trial. No, I do not. When a suspect can not even hear the evidence against them as it is "too secret", it seem to smack of railroading.
What we need is to clearly interrogate these people, but not over years, by that time, can we really trust anything that they tell? We need to interrogate them for three months six tops and then turn them over to the Hague and prosecute them in International Court.
We must have a time frame for interrogation and give even terrorists a fair trial. It should not be an American trial, but an International trial. If we do otherwise we are continuing to appear to the rest of the world as the world's biggest hypocrites -- saying we want justice and freedom but only for certain people who we deem worthy.
