What One Iranian Thinks About Iran's Government

I read comments to one of my posts called "Okay, Iran, This Is Really Your Third Last Chance" recently. One person wrote in an interesting point of view that I would like to point your attention to. The commenter says that he or she is an Iranian citizen. Here are their comments slightly corrected for readability:

"[I] am an Iranian who lives in Iran. [The] Islamic Republic (I mean government of Iran) is a totalitarian regime which kills people, crushes opposition, sponsors terrorists, and for sure it's going to have nuclear bomb. I, as an Iranian don't recognize it as an elected, reasonable government. There is no credit to believe their pledges. Unfortunately, there are some people who live in a hallucination and do not know what is going on in the world like the person who left the first comment."

This specific writer is referring to a comment made by another person vommenting on the same blog post who called me a CIA operative spinning out Bush propaganda while sitting in a CIA bunker. Very far from the truth if you knew the reality.

What I found particularly interesting is this candid point of view from a person who is living right in the middle of things with a perspective that we do not have; from inside Iran. Very rarely do we see the real side of life as the media shapes what we see and hear.

Thank you, Kavah, for your candid comments on what "real" Iranians think about their own government.

i was searching for a free online novel to read before sleep and i found your site on google search.i started reading it.first i thought that you know your job.i mean you have done at least a little bit of research before creating this site and writing your views but after reading this part i realized that you have no rights to point on Iran.
in each country of the world you will find people who are pro and those who are anti.if you want to come to any conclusion about Iranians' view regarding Iran,Islam,USA,terrorism or anything else you have to do a justified and real survey in the territory of Iran not out of it.
don't make your mind regarding anything with only one view!Iran is beautiful, calm and mobile.its not a static country and it keeps on going.it is always in the news.it is important and it has great history behind it.i wont promise that Iran will have a great future but i wont promise this, for any other country on the planet.future is unpredictable and anything can happen but history is there asking you,me and every other people to turn its precious pages.not all the people of the world are corrupt.not all the people of the world are nice.Iran is not an exception from this universal rules.still Iranians are honored because of their hospitality, wisdom, art, culture, class of living and pure hearts.an Iranian poet has said"wash your eyes and try to look again."

So Persian Girl, tell me what you think is happening in Iran from your point of view?

I agree that all too often people are painted with one brush and that that brush may not fit the real picture, so let us know one where you live, are you Iranian and can you speak for the everyday citizen of Iran?

I would be glad to post your comments about what you feel is happening in the Middle East and present your point of view.

Most Respectfully,
The Watcher

salam.
first of all i want to thank you for giving value to my thoughts and making it a platform for others to comment on too and secondly i want to apologize for not checking the site for almost a month and not answering to your comments earlier.

i am 25.working in a good company, having a normal salary but gaining lots of knowledge, support and motivation to go on and on and to reach to the top and there is no governmental obstacle in my way nor cultural but i lost one year of my life finding this job.so it is difficult to find a good job in Iran even if you have a good educational background and different diplomas in different fields.i have lots of engineer friends who love being an Iranian and respect it and are proud and honored to be an Iranian citizen but this problem has made them so tired that if they read my previous comment they will disagree with me and say that they would die for a good job in any place on the planet and they care damn for Iran.
!they often search for immigration paths and a justified way to migrate.i can understand what are they going throw, because they have graduated from a famous governmental university of Iran in capital of it.

you know,we have a difficult entrance exam for entering university and there are some very famous governmental universities here and all the concern of a teenager is to study,go to classes and become only a book worm(a gigantic one)for entering those universities.
lots of them succeed and lots of them don't.some(girls and boys) get entrance in other cities far from their hometown and pay lots of money to get educated and some of them instantly start reading for next year's exam(because they blame them selves for not being as good as others) and others just lose their hope and boys, if are poor will find a small job and do it the rest of their lives and arrogantly continue hating every thing around and if they have money, they will go to any other country, probably India to get educated and come back and show the Iranians that see,i have done it!and those girls, who have lost their hopes and are not eager to read for the next year and lose another year of their life will join different classes such as painting , makeup or going to gym and will start searching for successful boys so that they will automatically be called successful wives or will become a house girl and dream of their charming prince who will arrive one day or will join a small company and do a small job or will become disappointed so much that they will ruin their future and start taking pills for being a normal person that they were before.

so for a 18 years old Innocent youth the biggest obstacle of life which will definitely change their future is to get pass in the entrance exam and believe me every one gives this exam.every one.i mean Iranians have such a great craze for knowledge that you can never think of and believe me they are intelligent and our book syllabus even in schools are very high leveled and every one tries to grasp as much as she or he can.

after the exam like i have said before different life styles develop according to their being failed and if they are passed like me or my engineer friends that i have mentioned before, finding a good job will become a great obstacle around the age of 24 but again believe me Iranians who reach to this stage do anything and put all their enjoy and time for making their future bright and no body stops and continuous being idle.

i can go on and on but i will stop here and tell you that you can see there is lots of knowledge but not easy ways exists for getting it.there are lots of companies all around but finding a right job is not easy at all.i can give you examples about other issues such as getting married about youth but i want you to identify Iran with other countries and believe that Iran is like other territories surrounding by human beings and has its own obstacle and offers different paths to live and the most important thing is that people have a very gigantic spirit and they feel the need of getting what ever they wish for and believe me it is difficult here but it is not impossible.divide the world in to 2 segments.losers and achievers.Iranians will exist in losers segment also but more than 50% of them will join others in achievers place.
it is good to listen to both groups.

i am not a losers and not an achiever i am just a realistic seeker.

for those Iranians who insult their country(values):
It is not always right to say that i can't dance because the floor is slippery may be you don't know how to dance.Double check the floor.
