Personally I do not think that sanctions will work. I think that this is a national pride issue and so sanctions will only harden opinions against the West.

I do think that a travel restriction against top level personnel may be in order as this will then hurt the right people and not the everyday citizen.

I just think that everything needs to calm down for the sake of the little ones that everyone is making scared. they always are asking is it almost the end of the world and why should they even be asking that question. Yeah I understand what is going on but we still need to think of what is best for this country.

Sanctions are an option, but Iran is not getting much from us anyway and I would be very surprised if the Europeans, Chinese, and Russians actually obey the sanctions. Iran will continue with its program and the best way to handle this is to realize that is what will happen and then try to decide what the plan will be. You will not intimidate Iran into not making "the bomb", just like you can't with North Korea. They are smart people and will find a way to do it. I know many Iranian and Korean scientists and they are as samrt or smarter than US scientists. If we can build a bomb, I am confident that eventually they will. The question is how do we come to peace with these people so they do not feel threatened such that they feel they need to use it.
