Iran Flexing Its Muscles

Iran has just announced that it will be having a series of war games in the Gulf this week. These military maneuvers will allow the world to see Iran flex its muscles. If the world community thought that they could stop the Iranian quest to become a world power dominating the Middle East, now's the time to think again.

With the uranium enrichment, burgeoning nuclear research thrust, increased exports, wider role with the native Iraqi government, Iran is placing itself strategically to become the dominant player in the Middle East.

We will see the introduction of a new weapon in the war games coming soon.
On Wednesday, Safavi told state TV: "The guard's air force will test fire the Shahab-3 (missile), equipped with cluster warhead, in the war game." The Shahab-3 missile is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead and has a range of more than 2,000 kilometers (1,242.8 miles).
This military test will, I am sure, be watched very closely by the Americans, Israelis, and Saudis. You can read the full article on the war games that will happen this week here. Of special interest in this article is the deal that the Soviets are moving forward with to supply additional arms to Iran that is noted at the very bottom of the piece. You won't want to miss the information on this small little $70 million contract.
